Biography

       Pastor James G. Owens, was born in Milwaukee, WI to a long line of Pentacostal Minsters. He joined the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at the age of 16 under powerful conviction of the Holy Spirit concerning vital elements of God's word. A year later He attended Oakwood College, to study Theology. In 1990, he graduated with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theology and Communications. In 1991, he married the former Natalie Tucker. They have been married for 17 years and have two girls, Lexis age 12 and Laiah age 6.

       Pastor Owens has pastored successfully for nearly 11 years in the South Central Conference. Before accepting the pastorate to the historical Longview Heights SDA Church in 2006,  he pastored in several churches in Kentucky.  He believes in soul winning and is a powerful evangelist for the Lord. Pastor Owens goal is to inspire each member to make their mark in God's kingdom by touching people outside of the church walls.

      His motto is, "When the devil hits you, hit him back with the fist of Jesus".
